Fuji Xerox named top 10 government contractor by IDA

Singapore, July 24, 2008 - Fuji Xerox Singapore is delighted to announce that the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore has named the company one of the top ten government contractors in 2007.

Having won more than 30 government contracts in 2007, which comprises mainly of Enterprise Content Management systems and infrastructure solutions, as well as being part of the EDS International-led OneMeridian consortium that won the S$1.3 billion Standard ICT Operating Environment (SOEasy) public sector project, Fuji Xerox has reaffirmed its leadership position and reputation for providing intuitive, client-customised Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for agencies in the government sector.

"In the past 10 years that Fuji Xerox has been in the ECM arena, we have implemented our solutions to numerous government sites, with the largest serving over 1500 users," said Bert Wong, Managing Director of Fuji Xerox Singapore. "The recognition as one of the government's top 10 contractors is testament not only to the quality of the industry-leading solutions we provide, but also to our dedication to our customers, that our unique methodology of addressing information management needs by looking at how a business' process, people, and technology, works."

In 2007, the Singapore government awarded S$2.12 billion worth of information, technology and communication projects, of which S$1.3 billion was apportioned to the SOEasy project. Of the remaining S$0.82 billion that was apportioned for other infocomm projects, 64% was awarded to local companies like Fuji Xerox.

Having implemented ECM and Information Management solutions for customers for the last decade, Fuji Xerox has identified several challenges faced by many businesses today. These include risings costs of storing hardcopy documents, information overload, ensuring currency of information, enabling easy access of information across an organisation, maintaining information security, and adhering to compliance regulations.
