Fuji Xerox ties up five industry alliances to offer first-of-its kind applications
- new offerings expected to generate S$1million in revenue -

Singapore, March 28, 2007 - Fuji Xerox Singapore today announced a strategic alliance with five industry players to offer first-of-its kind applications on the Apeos open platform, which are expected to generate S$1 million in revenue in the first year. Together with Asiasoft Global (headquartered in Singapore offering enterprise knowledge solutions), USA's Cardiff (workflow specialists), UK's Dicom Systems (leaders in electronic document capture), Singapore's Innofax Systems (customer contact and call center solutions) and I-Magination Group (enterprise content management solutions), Fuji Xerox will develop new applications that will help businesses achieve regulatory compliance according to requirements such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, as well as deliver a higher level of security by tracking all document transactions.

"We are delighted to be working with such prominent names in their respective industries, to jointly develop easy-to-use solutions on our intuitive Apeos platform," said Mr Bert Wong, Senior General Manager / Director, Fuji Xerox Singapore. "By leveraging on the power of the Fuji Xerox ApeosPort multifunction devices as document portals', and working with the best in content management and business process software developers, we now have the opportunity to offer businesses the capability to take advantage of the best hardware and software, and to use the multifunction device in a totally new way."

Asiasoft Global's AwareCM solution integrates with the Fuji Xerox Apeos platform to enable users to directly access the company's central repository via the intuitive web user interface. Users can conveniently scan, index and store documents directly into the server, or even access the electronic documents remotely through this document portal, regardless of their location, without the need for a PC.

With the integration of US company Cardiff's LiquidOffice, an application that manages business processes, with the Fuji Xerox Apeos platform, the bridge between physical and electronic documents is bridged. Users can scan and link supporting documents such as quotations to proposals via the web user interface.

The risk of scanned documents, fax and email getting lost during its electronic journey can also be eliminated with Dicom Group's integrated solution for the ApeosPort. Utilising their Topcall software which records every transaction, businesses can ensure that all information and documents, such as email, fax and scanned images, which go through this document portal are trackable, traceable and secure, whether they are being sent to a recipient or to a server for archival purposes. This is in line with requirements as set out by regulatory bodies such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Lost fax documents are a thing of the past with homegrown company Innovax System's InnoFax software. It enables businesses to centrally manage and track their incoming and outgoing faxes through single or multiple ApeosPort devices, or document portals, hence saving the cost of having several fax lines. Users can also easily browse, retrieve or print document remotely through this portal.

Homegrown information management specialist I-Magination Group's Microsoft.NET-based Document WorkBench 5 software adopts a Role-Based Access Control, which enables companies to customise each employee's access rights, according to their roles within an office. This ensures that business' sensitive and valuable content is fully protected. This flexible office solution also enables users to browse, directly upload and exchange information stored on the document server from any ApeosPort device.

Expected to be commercially available within the next 3 months, these applications demonstrate the Apeos platform's flexibility and suitability for use in different industries government, banks and finance, logistics and manufacturing, health and retail. Examples include document registries in government offices to help with the electronic distribution of mails, or nursing stations in hospitals to help busy nurses fill up the multitude of forms for different patient cases. The applications will be rolled out first in Singapore, before being made available to customers across the Asia Pacific region.
