Fuji Xerox Singapore kicks off corporate festive season
- Ties up with charity ambassadors and Fuji Xerox Towers tenants -
Singapore, November 2, 2009 - Fuji Xerox Singapore today announced the launch of their Christmas Fund Raising event, in support of the Boys' Brigade Sharity Box and the Children's Cancer Foundation Xmas Wish Tree. For this event, Fuji Xerox is also working with the youngest charity ambassadors to date - 62 'Little Stars' aged between 3 and 6 years old, who attend the DEL-Care Edu Centre, a childcare centre located at Fuji Xerox Towers.
To be held till December 2, working professionals at Fuji Xerox Towers and the Tanjong Pagar vicinity are highly encouraged to donate. Besides 300 Xmas Tree wishes from Children's Cancer Foundation beneficiaries, there are also food hampers at $20 which the public can purchase for the Boys' Brigade Sharity Box.
Mr Bert Wong, Managing Director, Fuji Xerox Singapore, said, "Charity has been a part and parcel of Fuji Xerox for many years. We have been supporting the Boys' Brigade Sharity Box for the past ten years, and the Children's Cancer Foundation Xmas Wish Tree since 2004. As one of the key tenants at Fuji Xerox Towers in the Tanjong Pagar area, we hope that through our efforts, the working professionals around this area will be rallied to give a thought for the less fortunate during this season of giving, and generously support Sharity Box and Xmas Wish Tree."
To encourage more people to do their part for charity, the young charity ambassadors dressed up as stars and angels, and put up a carolling performance. They also gave out cookies while sharing special charity messages. These cookies were home-baked by their parents.
Elaborated Mr Wong, "Today's event truly demonstrates a coming together of corporations, parents and children for one common goal - that of the spirit of charity. We are delighted to see parents supporting us in our efforts. Their home-baked cookies have truly added warmth to this special occasion."
During today's event, the Boys' Brigade also put up a drill performance, which demonstrated their tenacity and dedication to the charity cause.
