FX Elections: What you have missed out!

"It's time for change!"

The rallying call was made loud and clear at The Fuji Xerox Elections 2009, our annual office product show. Held from 15 to 16 December at the iconic National Museum of Singapore, close to a thousand invited customers, from both MNCs and SMEs over a wide range of industries, came in force to support our campaign to transform organisations into the Office Of The Future.

We believe that organisations can achieve unprecedented efficiency in the office and at the same time become a more socially responsible company, caring for the environment.

But we know things don't change until people change. So at the event we presented compelling systems and solutions that can help our customers look beyond their horizon and experience for themselves what an Office Of The Future is capable of. Imagine these: Documents undergoing digitization and traveling inter-department at the speed of light. Print strategies achieving tremendous cost savings and experiencing faster ROI. Direct marketing campaigns with such high degree of customisation that they garner ten-fold response rates. A workplace that is lean and green with low operating costs. With Fuji Xerox, all these are already possible.

"Fuji Xerox is always concerned with the needs of our customers. We personalise our solutions by understanding what impacts their total business," said Mr Bert Wong, Managing Director of Fuji Xerox. "Rather than just relying on product promotions, we go further by conducting seminars and events every year to give our customers more and remain relevant to their needs. We believe this is one of the reasons why our customers have put us in the number one spot in the office products industry".

Five seminars were conducted over the two days covering a wide range of topics that helped participants decide which Fuji Xerox solutions can best help them become a more efficient office. A whole floor of product demonstrations and services booths were set up so that participants can experience and get to know in depth Fuji Xerox's complete total solution. We also roped in our partner organisations to share their expertise with our customers, namely IBM , Standard Chartered, Microsoft and CIMB. "Getting partner organisations involved in our events is an integral part of our branding," said Tang Kai Wen, General Manager of Finance Management & Operations. "And we have been doing this consistently over the last decade for the benefit of our customers".

But it wasn't all work. Participants had fun too. The ApeosPort IV C3370 , our latest multi-function devise, was the darling of the event. It was launched with a bang to a funky dance performance. Then came the real deal. Customers were asked to guess how power efficient the ApeosPort IV C3370 is compared to two much smaller equipments, an iPhone and a laptop.

Amazingly, power consumption meter showed that the ApeosPort IV C3370 had a rating of only 1.7 Watts compared to the laptop that showed 14.3 Watts and the iPhone, 6.4 Watts! "It's unbelievable that a much bigger machine can consume so little energy! I'm impressed", said Annie Chua, Office Manager (Facilities) of Schroders. iPod shuffle were given away hourly to those who dropped their name cards in the bowl. On top of that a top line desktop laser printer were given away in a lucky draw to participants who guessed the answer correctly.

At Fuji Xerox, eco consciousness isn't an after thought. We take it into consideration in every aspect of our machines' lifecycle. We also offer a Green Audit for organisations and help them streamline their processes and practices to become a lean and green company. Cathryn Yong, Administration Manager of Eurocopter South East Asia Pte Ltd., who has yet to be a Fuji Xerox customer said, "We have been trying to inculcate eco-consciousness in our office but the response is still lukewarm because old habits die hard. The fact that Fuji Xerox equipments are eco-friendly is definitely a plus point."

Participants made a beeline for the Personalisation booth where they had their pictures taken and in a matter of minutes had them printed with high quality colour solutions. They also walked away with customized 2010 calendar with their names on it and a whole lot of gifts in their goodie bags.

"We organised the event to offer a good balance of educational and interactive elements. If our customers are spending a few hours off work with us, we want it to be a time well spent," said Chua Li Li, Head of Business E-Services & Technology Intelligence.

At Fuji Xerox, we are set to rewrite the rules of Office Efficiency. But we need your vote of confidence as we embark on this campaign of change. For those who attended our event, we thank you with all our hearts. For those who couldn't make it, don't miss out on the next one set to happen in March 2010. Our events are always invite-only. So do sign up now to experience what we have to offer next.
