Energy Star Compliance
The International Energy Star Program
helps save energy in the office and preserve the global environment. The
logo of the International Energy Star Program is indicated on
energy-efficient office equipment, and is used commonly in the United
States, Australia, Sweden and other countries.
The International Energy Star Program is an energy conservation standard for office equipment that is practiced under the mutual approval of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and Japan's Ministry of International Trade and Industry. Display of the International Energy Star logo is approved on products that have cleared a certain level of energy conservation criteria.
From the perspective of "using the necessary amount of energy efficiently when needed," the International Energy Star Program is aiming at reducing power consumption when office equipment, which operates for long hours with switches turned on, are in standby mode.

Green Label
What It's All About...
Green labelling (or eco-labelling) refers to a scheme which awards environment-friendly products with eco-labels.
Many consumer products in the market whether directly or indirectly, through their manufacturing processes, usage, or disposal, have an impact on our environment. They may cause pollution or deplete our natural resources.
However, there are products which have less undesirable effects on our environment. For example, recycled paper or appliances which conserve energy. Labelling these environment-friendly products helps consumers identify and select them from those which are less so when they make their purchases.
